Part of Kenya Airports Authority's Vision 2030 expansion, Terminal 4 was conceived to put Nairobi on the map as a major regional air-transport hub.
The KES 9.3 billion terminal handles 2.5 million passengers a year across 37,500 square metres of floor space, with parking for 1,500 cars. It houses 32 check-in counters, 7 boarding bridges and a fully automated baggage-handling system.
Karago & Associates delivered the work alongside NACO of the Netherlands on architecture, Howard Humphreys on engineering and Armstrong & Duncan as quantity surveyor.
